Diamond Doug Wilshire
Diamond’ Doug Wilshire is a 25 year veteran of the Australian and international music scene and was well known as frontman and songwriter for the Chrome Daddies. Starting out in 1979 in Toronto Canada, Doug has been thrilling crowds the world over with his high-octane mix of Roots-based music.
Doug is recognised throughout Australia’s roots and rockabilly music scene with his high-energy appearances at the Gympie Muster, Tamworth Country Music Festival, Woodford Folk festival and pubs and clubs all over. Highly influenced by Rockabilly, Blues, Swing, Pop, Hillbilly, Bluegrass, Rock, Country and many other genres, Doug brings these styles together in a unique blend that folks the world over have grown to love!
Expect a full dance floor from an electrifying mix of slappin’ double bass, steel guitar and the occasional banjo from ‘Diamond’ Doug’s latest outfit The Tailspinners.
