Live in the Studio – Dr Who: Tales from
the Tardis

ACMI’s popular television appreciation evening turns sci-fi in September with a homage to Dr Who in Dr Who: Tales from the Tardis.

The first episode of Dr Who screened on the BBC in 1963. It was the first chapter of what would become the most successful science fiction television series of all time.

Join us for a discussion of this unparalleled cultural phenomenon. From Jelly Babies to fish fingers in custard, we travel through time with Richard Watts (writer and broadcaster), Oscar Hillestrom (Sci Fi Channel blogger), Madeline Palmer (Producer and Programmer for rage on ABC TV and 'mad Whovian' blogger), Paul Verhoeven (presenter and pop culture expert) and Adam Richard (comedian, TV and radio personality).

Our panel of Dr Who die-hards tell us who made the best Doctor then argue the case for their ultimate Time Lord.

Live in the Studio – Dr Who: Tales from the Tardis
Venue: Studio 1, ACMI, Federation Square, Melbourne
Dates:  29/09/11
