Film Festival
Check
out the latest and best in world cinema, documentaries, retrospectives,
experimental work, late night thrillers, animation, children's films, a
short film competition and much more! Check back in soon for more information – official festival launch on 10 July.
Opening Night kicks off on Thursday 30 July at the
historic Regent Cinema. It will see Brisbane film lovers and socialites
attend the much anticipated Opening Night movie, An Education,
and spectacular after-party. Guests will experience the glitz and
glamour as they walk the red carpet and rub shoulders with film fans,
celebrities and festival guests, including star of An Education, Carey Mulligan. Past Opening Night guests have included David Stratton, George Miller, Geoffrey Rush, Toni Collette and Jack Thompson.
Other exciting festival events include Gala and Showcase screenings, the Chauvel Award and the Warner Roadshow Queensland New Filmmakers Awards.
