FLOATINGME Australian Tour
Sydney prog-rockers FLOATINGME have announced a new tour this July, which will see the group perform in larger scale venues for the first time.
The ten-date tour includes three shows alongside friends Thousand Needles In Red – the new project of The Butterfly Effect’s Clint Boge. FLOATINGME will also visit a number of regional areas, as well as making the trek to Perth for the first time.
The tour continues a busy 2011 for FLOATINGME,
who have already wowed audiences at shows alongside Dead Letter Circus
and their own debut headline tour, as well as releasing their
self-titled debut album in April. Comprising of members of Scary Mother,
COG and Karnivool, the group’s debut is an eclectic journey, veering
from soothing to cathartic, subtle to powerful, cinematic to haunting.
BEAT “they are the best progressive rock’n’roll band in the country…without a doubt”
REVERB “astonishing… one of the most exceptional debut sounds of the year”
INPRESS “an extremely impressive debut from a band of experienced,
mature musicians… has the potential to surpass ant of the bands members’
previous work”
DRUM MEDIA “a hypnotic and eclectic musical puzzle”
BLUNT “you can hear the care and time that has been taken crafting its dense, intricate dynamics”4/5
