Nikon Walkley Photographic Awards 2011

Australia’s most prestigious press photography awards culminate in this compelling exhibition.

The Walkley Awards recognise excellence in Australian journalism, including press photography in the areas of sport, portraiture, photographic essay and daily life in the city and regionally. From blink-and-you’ll-miss-it moments, to studied documentaries of people and places over time, this prestigious exhibition is not to be missed.

Each year more than 1000 images are entered, and this exhibition showcases more than 100 photographs from the finalists. Passion and pain, triumph and tragedy; these are the big moments from 2010, as seen through the lens of Australia’s most talented press photographers.

Nikon Walkley Photographic Awards 2011
