One Man Lord of the Rings
Charles Ross, creator of the worldwide hit One Man Star Wars Trilogy, returns to Brisbane with his hilarious follow-up One Man Lord of the Rings. Onstage and outrageous at the Playhouse QPAC from 12th – 17th April. Tickets are available from February 10th at qpac.com.au or 136 246.
Watch Ross recreate the entire world of Middle-earth, all its characters and complete Frodo’s epic journey from the Shire to the fire - armed with nothing more than some elbow pads and his outrageous imagination. One Man to perform them all. One show to rule them all!
Ross performs without props and costumes as he hurtles through the Tolkien trilogy – The Fellowship of the Ring, The Two Towers and The Return of the King – in just 3,600 seconds of unbelievable kinetic entertainment!
If you’ve already seen the movies, read the books and named your first-born Frodo, Ross’ crazy take on Lord Of The Rings is right up your alley and sure to leave a lasting impression.
Selected as 'Patron's Choice' for Best Play at the Toronto Fringe Festival; sold out at the Edinburgh Fringe. This is Australia’s first chance to see the next instalment in the worldwide One Man phenomenon.
“If you liked Lord of the Rings, you’ll love Charlie Ross’ version.”
Sir Ian McKellen (Yes, Gandalf!)
“One Man Lord of the Rings sheer physicality is impressive as hell… It’s something else too. Something meaningful. Something moving. Something… precious.”
Washington City Post, July 16 2010
“Funnier than you could possibly imagine.”
