Peter Gabriel's New Blood Concert in 3D
at Dendy Cinemas Portside
Be in the front row when former Genesis frontman Peter Gabriel’s groundbreaking New Blood tour hits the big screen in glorious 3D at Dendy Cinemas Portside for two sessions only on August 26 and 28.

Filmed over two nights in March at London’s Hammersmith Apollo, this extraordinary show gives the orchestral treatment to some of Gabriel’s best-loved songs culled from right across his solo back catalogue, from Solsbury Hill to Digging in the Dirt, backed by the 46-piece New Blood Orchestra.

Stripped of the traditional weapons of the rock armoury – no loud guitars or booming drums – Gabriel’s songs take on new shape and meaning.

The next best thing to being at the concert, Gabriel’s first 3D project was filmed by Blue Leach, the award-winning director whose credits include tours for R.E.M. and Snow Patrol. Grant Calton of distributors Omniverse Vision said Peter Gabriel’s New Blood 3D allowed fans to experience a sense of being at the hallowed Hammersmith venue, with 3D visuals that go beyond gimmicks to immerse people in the concert.

“From his landmark performances with Genesis to his groundbreaking solo videos, Peter Gabriel has always been an innovator in visually presenting music and New Blood 3D continues this tradition,” said Calton. “The film offers a new kind of cinema-going experience, capturing the sights and sounds of a live concert in spectacular 3D, and we’re excited to be bringing the film to Australian audiences for the first time.”
