Rolling Stone: The Covers 1972 – 2010
The cover of Rolling Stone magazine is a cultural icon, graced by everyone from politicians to pop stars.
An iconic original masthead designed by psychedelic artist Rick Griffin, coupled with captivating images from legends like Annie Leibovitz and Ralph Steadman have positioned the magazine as the reference point of popular culture.
For the first time in Australian history 300 of the greatest covers, spanning over four decades of Rolling Stone Australia will be
showcased coinciding with BIGSOUND 2010 for a limited time at artisan.
There will also be a free talk ‘On the Cover of Rolling Stone’ exhibition tour and Q&A session with Matt Coyte, Editor-in-Chief of Rolling Stone, at artisan Saturday 4th September from 2pm – 3pm.
Running for a month, and opening on the 2nd of September 2010, this is will be a stand out collection for compulsory viewing!
