Shaun Tan: The Art of Story Exhibition

A free exhibition showcasing the art of Academy Award winner and children’s illustrator, Shaun Tan.


Limited edition prints of illustrations from many of Shaun Tan’s well-known books, including The Rabbits, The Red Tree, The Lost Thing, The Arrival, Tales from Outer Suburbia and The Bird King and Other Sketches, will adorn the walls during Powerkidz.

The exhibition will also feature the film, The Lost Thing which won an Oscar this year for Best Short Animation. The Lost Thing is an animated modern day parable for all ages adapted from Shaun’s picture book of the same name.

Visitors will have the opportunity to view some of the developmental work for this film as well as watch the 15-minute film and special effects included on the DVD.
