David Dare Parker: The Clubs Exhibition
Nikon-Walkley Award winning photographer, David Dare Parker, captures the essence of the workers and social clubs.
The social and workers clubs have been an important part of the urban fabric and history of Australian cities. However, with the changing city environments these clubs have been in steady decline.
For this exhibition, especially commissioned for FotoFreo 2010, David Dare Parker encapsulates the Fremantle clubs of today through his lens with an accompanying essay by Fremantle author and former journalist, Ron Davidson.
Come celebrate the people and customs of the clubs of Fremantle before this era ends.
