Tim and Jean Like What Tour

Tim and Jean were announced to the world when Triple J “unearthed” them in late 2009 with a track called Come Around; a song they jammed out and recorded quickly in an early morning session at home.

Come Around soon had major record labels calling from around the globe; flying Tim and Jean to America and putting forward recording deals. Blogs and Websites like Cool Hunter started listing them as one of the most exciting acts of the year.

The other track they recorded during that first jam session was Like What, which is now the title of Tim and Jean’s debut album which is released on April 1st.

Jean-Christophe Capotorto started producing the album when he was 15 years old with his mate Tim Ayre helping out. They wrote and recorded the album quickly before heading to New York to mix it with John O’Mahony who has previously worked with Bob Dylan, David Bowie and Metric.

Come Around, Veronika and current single I Can Show You have already been given heavy rotation on the airwaves across the country.

Throughout 2010 Tim and Jean were constantly on the road; performing at Future Music, Splendour in the Grass, Southbound, Laneway, Fat as Butter, Field Day and The Falls Festival, as well as touring with La Roux, Art V Science, Operator Please, Two Door Cinema Club, Franz Ferdinand and Moby.

In February 2011 they toured with the Good Vibrations festival where Erykah Badu singled them out as one her favourite acts on the tour.

Tim and Jean have a lot of air miles ahead this year with the release of their debut album Like What and an Australian tour in April before heading to tour the UK and North America in May and June.

Tim and Jean’s debut album Like What is released on April 1st on Mercury records as a 2 CD limited edition digi pack with bonus disc featuring acoustic and remix tracks.

Exclusive album pre-orders are available through iTunes and www.timandjean.com.au

There are special Ticket Offers available at all gigs that include Ticket + Album + Like What Singlet. See ticketing outlets for Full Details.
