UNKLE Australian Tour

Touring on the back of their fourth studio album in their iconic career, Where Did The Night Fall, the live band will bring their unique live sound to Australia for the first time since Big Day Out 2008. The tour will include appearances at Groovin The Moo nationally, as well as exclusive headline shows in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth.

Led by James Lavelle, Unkle is known for a constant evolution in tone & style. The most recent incarnation of Unkle contains influences from psychedelic rock to afrobeat, and continues their outstanding history of collaboration with a dynamic roster of collaborators, including gravelly voiced legend Mark Lanegan, formerly of Queens of the Stone Age and Screaming Trees; San Francisco psych scene darlings Sleepy Sun; Texan based drone rockers The Black Angels; and member of cabaret punk trio Celebration and long time TV On The Radio collaborator Katrina Ford. It also featured the likes of former South frontman Joel Cadbury, former Clayhill frontman Gavin Clark, Elle J of dark folk-rock group Dark Horses, and the Los Angeles based art noise-pop trio Autolux, all of whom return, after collaborating on previous albums.

Recently named one of Dazed Digital’s ‘Best Artists of 2010’, and with a mini album of all new material due to drop in advance of their arrival, Unkle’s live show returns to Australia with high anticipation. Unkle will perform four exclusive headline shows, in addition to their Groovin The Moo appearances. Don’t miss your chance to see this incredible artist’s live show in the flesh.
