World Theatre Festival 2011

Embracing the new, the risky and the independent from around the world, World Theatre Festival (WTF) is set to seriously shake up the face of theatre in Australia.

WTF offers international and national performance, a ‘scratch’ series of brand new Australian works still in development, in addition to a series of masterclasses and forums.

PERFORMANCES INCLUDE:

APOLLO 13: Mission Control

Hackman (NZL)
As three astronauts trapped 200,000 miles from earth fight for their lives, audience members seated in ‘Mission Control' must make the critical decisions necessary to bring the heroes safely home.

The Waiting Room

Born in a Taxi and The Public Floor Project (AUS)
Acclaimed physical theatre company, Born in a Taxi, joins forces with a dynamic team of independent artists to bring you five nights of absurd and compelling performance.

Diciembre

Teatro en el Blanco (CHI)

SCRATCH WORKS (works-in-progress):

The Rat Trap

Polytoxic (QLD)
A lush showcase of six charismatic performers, virtuosos of dance, theatre and aerials, playing in a Polytoxic world of cultural-bending and political bite.  Emotionally shameless physicality.

A performance band featuring Christine, Lisa and Peter will perform a few musical/performance vignettes.
