event info The Brisbane Blues Festival returns to The Waterloo Hotel for one last time! The Barn, located at the back of The Waterloo Hotel complex, one of Brisbane’s longest running venues and always a mainstay on the live music scene has a date with the wrecking ball in March 08 but not before we help to celebrate its rich history with one last blues festival. Nine fan favourites from the event’s past 15 year history will gather together to help bring this chapter of The Brisbane Blues Festival to a rousing close. The festival will live on in a new home next year but not before we have a chance to send out The Waterloo Hotel Barn in style. Still featuring a two-stage format so the live music is non-stop from 3:00 PM till late. The band times are sequenced so the punters can catch the complete set of every band on the bill. The air-conditioned venue also features a fine restaurant that will be open during the event. Doors open at 2:30 PM and the first live act starts at 3:00 PM. The event will run till late. This year featuring: Natural Ball, The Mason Rack Band, Mick Hadley & The Atomic Boogie Band, The J.B.Lewis Band (featuring Josh Bambridge), Big Kitty & the Scaredy Cats, Hat Fitz, Shakey Shaun’s Blues Review, The Asa Broomhall Band and Mojo Webb and Band.
