![]() Just Go With It For a Rom-Com, Just Go With It raises a number of questions. Will Jennifer Aniston continue with her run of being box-office poison, will Nicole Kidman be able to crack a smile, can a Sports Illustrated swim suit model have any acting ability and will Adam Sandler phone this one in?
The film is so predicable that there are absolutely no surprises in store for the viewer but what is there, is oddly entertaining. Oddly because the film can jump from embarrassingly bad to very funny in the bat of well-manicured eye. There are a number of lines that will tickle most funny bones as long as you have the patience to get to them. Adam Sandler continues with his approach of either playing characters that are a real departure for him or repetitive ones that try to capitalize on his comic chops. The writing here ignores the former and concentrates on the latter and when the script delivers the goods, it’s very funny, there is just a little too much down time between the peaks.
