Purple Sneakers DJs –
We Mix You Dance Volume 2

As a soundtrack for your next party, this compilation of tracks does a commendable job of bridging the gap between a number of divergent genres. It’s got something for fans of dance, electronic, alt and rock and with its 46 track running time, just pop it on and get back to what’s really important at a social gathering. Getting all your guests wrecked!

It features a number of tracks from those ‘band of the moment’ acts alongside songs that just make your toes tap. It’s a testament to the Purple Sneakers ability that there is such a seamless transition between tracks of such distinct origin. These boy’s record collections must be encyclopaedic.

Any assortment of songs that can mix the almost Celtic The Cave by Mumford & Sons into a set with a remixed version of Magic Fountain by Art Vs Science or blend the cascading Solitude Is Bliss by Tame Impala with the strident Drunk Girls by LCD Soundsystem and make it work is worthy of consideration. All this variety and we’re only halfway through the two disc set.

Schizophrenic or just entertainingly varied? With the often times crazy cast of characters that turn up for our household neighbour torture sessions, it really works either way.
